What should I put in my ocean Fishing Tackle box?
In any box, a bait knife if you’re going to be using cut bait. Needlenose pliers or linesman’s dikes for unhooking fish and cutting your line.
Beyond that, it all depends on the fishing you’re doing:
Hooks of the sizes you’ll need. Sinkers for the depth and current and conditions you’re fishing in. Artificials for the fish you’re after, and a sabiki-style bait catching rig. A spool of leader material if needed. A camera. Extra spools if your reel has changeable spools.
I own four fully stocked saltwater tackle boxes which I use for different types of fishing. The gear in my tuna box is different from what’s in my inshore and island and bottom fishing boxes, as it makes no sense to lug around tackle you don’t need.
Don’t feel you have to pack a big tacklebox full of stuff. Go fishing and see exactly what you need
